Craw fish crankbait?

Has anyone ever seen or used a crankbait that is like a soft plastic crank. I forgot who made em but they looked really cool in the package, and i bought 3 of them. but when i tried to use them they sucked. maybe im just a bad fisherman and dont kow how its supposed to be fished? Or maybe they were just a rip off? does anybody know what im talkin about, preferably with some tips or confirmation that they really do suck!!!
