I want to be home schooled?

I really want to be home schooled, and i know that people say you will loose you social life but i don't care i have my best friends that i will still hang out with. My mom just died in june and its still hard to deal with, and i have always wanted to be home schooled. i really don't want to deal with drama and all that high school stuff. I would have to be taught over the computer because my dad will be at work and brother at work to. How do I tell my dad that i want to be home schooled? i know school starts soon but how do we like tell the school? and any over the computer home schooling web sites? Oh and we are going to Hawaii this year to spread my mommy ashes and we are going to take a vacation there and will probably be gone for a month so that wouldn't help me being in school i would be so behind. thanks.
