Help with taming My Robo. hamster! 10 ponits!!! please?

hi! please read all!! i have a robo. hamster! he's a boy named Chester and i have had him for 9 months......a long time! what i do to tame him is put him in a box and i put gloves on cuzz he bits a little and i put my hand down and put food there and sometimes he comes and eats it and he runs on my hands! but mostly he is trying to run up my hands to get out of the box!! is that normal?? he wants to get out and i only keep him in the 20 to 10 min's but i have only done this 3 times!! and every time i move my hand he is scared! and i go to pet him but he runs! he is scared! and he is SO wild still! also when he is in his cage and i put my face close and talk to him slowly and he will come up to me nd also he will look at me!! but he is just so active! and will i ever be able to hold him out of the box ever?? Should i train him a different way?? ideas?? if im doing it right then how long till i can hold him or pet him??? also he will let me pick him up like 2 itches sometimes.he just wants to jump out of my hands and run!! and i can hold him for a half a min.! also sence i have had him for 9 months and can i still tame him nd he will listen or is it to late? please help! nice goood answers please i want to hold him and pet him:))
